RIP OFF?

I have or I thought I had a cellphone contract which was settled on 14 October 2013. on email to email address I was provided to send through proof of payment, I requested for confirmation of account settlement and closure of the contract. no response. Having peace of mind I had my confirmation in writing was obviously not sufficient. I get a call from a rude and arrogant SOB today telling me that I am still owing money and if I don't pay then its my credit record affected. He refused to give me his name and put the phone down on me! this company don't answer their phones when called and now I am supposed to sit back and wait to see if this is going to get resolved. I have left a message on their website and still no response!
South Africa has become a country where people have become complacent with the lack of service that we pay for!
