Trying to cancel my wife's contract

Hi,

My wife is trying to cancel her contract, which expires end of Feb. We are trying to give Virgin Mobile one month notice so that her number is moved over to prepaid at the end of the contract period.

After trying the call center, but getting stuck in the queue, we decided to drive to a branch. Just to have the branch tell us they can not cancel a contract?! And then trying call center again, they were closed.

Branches are good enough to issue new contracts, and renew, but NOT for cancelling contract?!

So basically we tried to get through to Cancellation department on 30 Jan 2013, to give you a month notice to cancel the contract. I'll appreciate if you can email confirmation that my wife's number will be moved to prepaid by the end of Feb. And not enter one month post contract expiry.
