I took out a new cellphone contract on the 04/08/2013 only to discover that I'm not happy with the phone or contract. Consequently, I decided to cancel this contract on the 06/08/2013 which is still in the 7 day period. I was told that if I cancel this contract i will still be held liable for the cost of the full 24 months.! I don't understand why certain companies still choose to ignore the new consumers law where one is allowed to cancel a cellphone contract and only pay up until cancellation! Should I really be tied to a contract when I wanted to cancel TWO days after taking out the contract??? Is this not ridiculous??? What if I wasn't able to pay this contract within the two years and only discovered this TWO days after taking out the contract? Is there no way out???
