Dont give correct information to client

In August 2013, I went to the store to do a upgrade from my 1Gig topup. I ask the consultant just to upgrade the 1Gig topup to 2Gig topup. He played around on the computer and said that I am lucky today, because I can still pay just R99, and get 2Gig. He didn't say that it will be on a open contract then. Since I have the 1Gig I only run out once, and suddenly this month I received a sky high account. On Thursday 21 November 2013, I went the the Woodlands store to sort it out. They were quick to change my contract to the 2Gig topup, but don't want to take responsibility that it were their fault. They say now that they couldn't do a 2Gig on topup in August for R99, but why d idn't the sales consultant tell me that - who is also apparently dead now! They couldn't even see on their system who helped me that day, because he locked on with someone elses id. They don't get back to me to sort out the matter. Last week they said that I wasn't on a topup contract, and I keep on telling the guy that I am sitting with the account right in front of me. Eventually he said yes, he can see it on his system. With the Vodacom office in Pretoria, no luck! Also no service!
