Hello Peter, after my last mail to you I received a call from Marge Opperman, who was unhelpful in my request and advised that it was my responsibility to keep my sim safe. I agree with that but my sim was misplaced in my house move in July - I was not too bothered as I had cancelled the contract in April 2013, however not knowing Cell C did not cancel my contract and billed me whilst someone else was using my sim. Firstly the only reason I got the contract was to get a free phone, I never used the contract as I am with MTN and my company pays for my calls. On the 11 April 2013, I called Cell C to cancel the contract as 24 months had passed, they recorded my conversation & asked me to put it in writing and send an email (which I did, it was delivered and read by their customer services / I have proof) I then realised I was being billed for a lot which I questioned, when I called them beginning November they advised me that the contract was still active. They cancelled it AGAIN (this time over the phone, straight away no emails) why could they have not done this in April over the phone?? on Friday ABSA sent me a SMS advising that R5000 (odd) had been debited off by CELL C?
