Left without phone line for a week

A tree fell and took down a phone line last Wednesday, knocking out many of the phones on our street. Almost a week later and still nothing has been done. Yesterday I was told they had upgraded it to urgent but still nothing. I have two babies under three and I have to go to work leaving them with our domestic worker and no phone. My husband's mother is ill and he is stuck without a phone to make international calls. It's not a complex problem and it's affecting a whole lot of people.
