Stuck in a foreign country with no phone

On arrival in dubai on sat 16th nov i inserted a local simcard and immediately the vodfone protect app locked my samsung s4. i re-inserted SA simcard and the phone was still locked. I cannot access my contact list or anything on the phone so I am pretty much stuck and a pin number was required to unlock the phone, of which i did not have as I was not registered with vodafone protect. I contacted the call centre on sunday 17th november via instant messaging nd emailed VBS and customercare. received a reply from customer care via email. The agent (nadine) emailed me back saying that vodacom phones are not network locked . she required further details from me to verify that the phone was not and advised she will submit query to technical team. i received a response back from vodacom only on wednesdayt 20 nov advising me that they have escallated the query to samsung for a pin to unlock! to date 25 November, i have heard NUTHING from vodacom. have emailed them and no response. so much for 48 HOUR SERVICE. I am alone in a foreign country and if i did not have email access my fam wouldnt even know i was safe. vodacom agents just dont care. what lousy service yet again from vodaco
