My phone was blocked by Vodafone Protect after repairs been done by a Vodacom outlet. To unblock the phone I need to receive an sms either from the call centre of form the vodafone protect website (if I register there, to unblock the phone). After 2 days of phone calls, I had no joy. The customer services persons tell me to read the sms with the unblock code, but my phone is blocked - the extreme of circular reasoning that I have ever encountered. I then had to leave South Africa to a foreign country without the phone being unblocked. I reverted to the vodacom website and now have 3 days of communication with them to try and resolve the issue. I deeply despise the total lack of commitment and inability of vodacom to resolve this issue. I have to say that the call centre staff were absolutely clueless and useless in helping me. After having my account since 1996, I will leave this company as soon as they decide to put an end to this terrible saga. I am stuck in a foreign country where I need my phone continuously, but the phone remains locked!!!
