Disappointing Blackberry Handset Issues

When I sent my phone away in May 2013 to be repaired I received a refurbished phone in return. I know this due to the fact that the refurbish sticker was still attached to the handset.

There were a few issues with the unit that sorted itself out in the beginning, so I let it slide. I told this to the consultant I spoke to today.

Then I had to send the phone away again, because it stopped charging. This needed to be sent away by Vodacom for testing first. This was three weeks ago.

Then Vodacom called me today and quoted me R1800 to have this charging issue resolved. Like it was nothing. Do you know the concept of money?

The consultant I have spoken to said that it is physical damage to the phone. Then I phoned the advanced repair centre after being advised I should escalate this through them. He then said this is liquid damage and he has images to show me, which I have yet to receive.

This is absolutely ridiculous. R1800??? For a refurbished unit to be repaired? This is terrible customer service. How do I know this refurbished unit has not been damaged previously? I cannot be held responsible for a refurbished unit becoming faulty within 6 months.
