Moved from contract to prepaid

My contract with MTN has ended and didnt want to upgrade, so had to cancel my contract. I cancelled on the 13th Nov, from the 14th i started having problems (i send smses but the people dont get them, i cant access my internet, and social networks). I thought it was my phone but when i changed the sim card they work with no problem. Went to MTN in Maponya mall but they couldnt help. Called the call centre, have been sent from pillar to post with no help. Was instead given a whole lot of things which i need to do BUT UNFORTUNATELY they also didnt work. Was told to buy a sim card and do a sim swap which I did but its still not working. The only 2 people I can remember is the ones I spoke to Yesterday Mukundi (173) and Refiloe Mabandla (0831555) settings were done but nothing. I still cant access anything and because of that i had to buy ANOTHER sim so that i can acces my emails, social networks and internet. What do I need to do really because i thought going to the store would help
Is this the service that prepaid customers get? I have never had such a problem (does contract customers get special treatment?) because if that is the case I will destroy my sim and move to another network
