Neotel
Neotel

I have been with Neotel for two years now. My two year contract term ended on the 16th of November 2013. I have been in correspondence with their sales/retention department since October 2013 in terms of an upgrade/changeover since their package options has now changed. I want to go over to the Home100 package option. The request was processed and I was subsequently declined on the basis that I'm under debt review. I then requested that my application be resubmitted and escalated for reconsideration. I pointed out the following to them:
That I'm a existing client. That my account was good standing and i never missed a payment.
I requested specifically to pay month-to-month and buy the new devices upfront.
Yes. I am currently under debt review and have been since January of last year.
I am an existing Neotel customer and my account have always been in good standing.
Why does Mtn & Vodacom then allow me to upgrade under the same circumstances provided that my account was in good standing? Why turn my request down to upgrade to the Home 100 even if I pay month 2 month. Surely there is no contractual issues then to consider. Why would you chase a loyal customer away? Confused!
