I upgraded one of the phones on my name (I have 3) at a branch and that was an absolute pleasure, dealt with very professionally and simply. I waited a bit long for the sim swap to work however (going onto a day and a half without activation), and thought perhaps something had gone wrong with the application.
I phoned the MTN customer service centre and spoke to a gentleman who dealt with my query like a pro. He reassured me the application had gone through, and said he was going to escalate the activation immediately and gave me a reference number after explaining exactly what was going on. In the next hour everything was activated.
I just felt the treatment I received deserved a compliment.
