I went in on Friday the 21st June 2013 to apply for a duel sim on my current 3G account. I was assisted by a gentleman by the name of Adrian. He completed the application and I was charged the nano sim fee of R136 or so. He said that the sim will be activated by the next day (24 hours).
On Saturday evening I had no activation so I went into MTN at The Glen. I was assisted by Vuyo who said that it seemed like Adrian did not capture the application. I was told that unfortunately the systems are down but the sim will be activated on Monday. Luckily I took down Vuyo's cellphone number.
On Monday evening I called Vuyo and he said theres nothing he can do as the systems are down. I told him that I need to speak to someone senior and he told me to call head office. I said that I will contact hellopeter instead as he didnt seem interested in having my problem resolved.
I am still sitting with a sim card thats not activated. This is very disappointing! I love MTN, but it seems like The Glen MTN is specifically troublesome as I have spoken to a few people and they also complained about this branch.
