I went to Woolworths Sandton to complete my credit card application. I took all my documents (including an original bank statement that cost money to print) and they started processing everything. I told them they could keep the documents for their records. I stood on the phone holding for almost an hour to their card activation centre which is just unheard of elsewhere, and eventually the activation was complete. A month later the card would not work, i phoned them and they told me the documents weren't complete! I could not believe it, i had to spend another hour on the phone explaining the documents were all there at the branch and i would not print any more documents. The person i spoke to was so rude and irritated that i almost put the phone down. This problem was eventually sorted out. After 3 months of having the card they phone me again to ask for payment and i realise they hadn't set up the debit order as stipulated! I mean really? Now i have to phone customer service again and hold for an hour again? I will NEVER recommend their financial services or the Sandton branch to anyone EVER!
