Hello Peter,
A service provider called "Opera Telecom" has been helping itself on my account without authorisation. They do so under a false pretence that I have subscribed to their service using my Cell C contract account. They make these deductions through my Cell C billing account. I have since asked Cell C to convey my request for this thing to be cancelled and ask for a refund. In spite of this request, the service provider continues to deduct. So far an amount of about R600.00 has been deducted since Oct through Cell C billing system.
I would appreciate if you could assist in sorting out this thing for me, including soliciting a refund thereof. Cell C, claim not to be linked with these people, and yet they use Cell C account as a conduit for effecting these deductions.
What I don't seem to understand is why are their deductions made through Cell C, why aren't they deduction directly from my bank? (if their claim is true) and why is Cell C no bothered by these transaction made under their name (if they are not linked)?
In my books, this is a activity and Cell C doesn't care it is effected through its billing system. They take no responsibility.
Regards
Khaya
