I changed from Blackberry contract service to a normal non-Blackberry topup contract service in May 2013. MTN continued to charge for the Blackberry service even though I specifically cancelled it and moved to a new service for my iPhone. When I wrote to them, they stopped the charge. However, they did not pay back the amounts for the 3 months that they charged. I kept paying the normal monthly amount as per the new contract.
Then they send me a sms that I am R50.23 overdue. I contacted [Email Removed] and [Email Removed] and they do not respond at all. These are the emails that I used previously to resolve the BB issue. As per their sms my service was suspended after a few days.
I cannot phone the MTN customer numbers as I live in Germany on sabbatical until end of 2013.
I have been with MTN for 10 years now. I? m not convinced that my loyalty will continue. (I? m with O2 in Germany - what absolute excellent service from O2!!!)
May I ask MTN to refund the overcharges and reinstate my account? According to my account I have R250 credit with MTN and not R50 debit.
