Disappointing service by the repair cente

I took my phone to the repair center in Century City Cape Town because it kept on freezing and would loose network. The phone was booked in previously for the same problem and was sent to the advanced repair center in Johannesburg for repairs. When I arrived to collect my phone today it was not repaired to my surprise. The reason was " Visible liquid damage inside charging connector". They even showed me pics of the alleged liquid damage.

Why now all of a sudden liquid damage when the phone was in for the exact same problem and fixed?

My phone charged perfectly fine and I would have mentioned it at the repair center when I booked it in. When I got home and tried to charge the phone it would not charge. Why would I book in a phone for freezing and losing network if there was a problem with the charging connector?

I don't believe for a second that my phone was damaged by liquid. Why not ask the question if the phone wasn't fixed properly which led to it giving problems again?

I am utterly disappointed at the service.
