I received a sms at 13:37 today, 04:11.2013 stating that I was gifted a 100 mb's of data as part of the "give a happy" promotion of Vodacom if I send back a confirmatory sms, which I did at 13:39. A sms confirmed I could only use it today between 19:00 and 19:58. At approx 19:2, not to forfeit the "gift" I activated my browser to download a video that I would've done at work tomorrow. Lo and behold at 19:40 my phone stopped downloading having DEPLETED BOTH my bought Data credited and my AIRTIME! No 100mb was ever credited and my BOUGHT credit was used! I called customer care immediately (19:50) and spoke to Candice. After explaining my query to her 5 times she eventually put me on hold for 10 minutes to inquire from the technicians what happened. She then informed me that they could only access my account till 19:00 and she had to log my query and they would revert to me within 24 to 48 hours! I expressed my dissatisfaction as I had no airtime nor data due to their ineptness and now had to purchase both! She could do NOTHING. So I ask... why do I still stay with Vodacom if even their gifts cause me UNHAPPINESS?
