Send a friend's number to a Vodacom supplied SMS number, and your friend will get either 60 Minutes FREE talk time, 100Mb FREE data, or 500 FREE SMS bundle. For starters, this costs YOU 50c per sms. Yes, YOU. YOU are now asked to PAY for Vodacom's GIFT to your friend/family. Next thing, the friend/family gets an SMS. It says: Vodacom has GIFTED you 100MB from 17:00 - 18:59 to use on 4/11. (Yes... that's TODAY) Send 2 to 1234 to get your gift. R0.50/SMS. T&C's. So, not only does it cost the SENDER 50c for this Vodacom "GIFT", but it cost YOU 50c AS WELL! And you DON"T HAVE A CHOICE between the chat, data or sms bundles. That's the first brain-dead part. The frontal lobotomy part is this: You have a DESIGNATED TWO HOURS to use it, or lose it... Let me state that again... You have a DESIGNATED TWO HOURS to use it, or lose it. Now... just MAYBE I'll be able to use the chat version of Vodacom's generosity, but what do I have to do to use 100MB in 2 hours on my PHONE? forbid you get the SMS bundle! Why do I now have to DROP everything and dedicate myself to WASTING that 100MB just because? How STUPID?
