Continue billing after cancellation

I cancelled my MTN contract at the Three rivers store on July 10 and ported to CellC.

Early in October I realised that they were still charging me and proceeded to go to the store where I cancelled to query the charges. They informed me that they would help me out.

When looking at my account on 31 Oct they had charged me again. I went back to the store and they finally found out that it was because I had had a dual sim or something many years ago and my contract was cancelled and not the dual sim.

How do you cancel my contract and the dual sim linked to the contract doesn't get cancelled.? If that is the case why did the consultant not cancel everything like I asked, . They assured me that I would not be charged again. Thanks that's great but what about the more than R 2000 you have already charged me.
