Broken Laptop - but NO aftersales service!

I took out a notebook contract in November 2012. When I opened it for the 1st time, I noticed it froze a lot. My fiance suggested that we take it back. Thereafter she called me to the kitchen, I closed the laptop screen and when I returned to my desk moments later and opened it up again, the whole right side of the screen was black. There was nothing on the keyboard that could have caused the screen to " - I simply closed it and reopened it. (If there had been an object that dented the screen, it would have at least scratched the keyboard side of the laptop, which is still in excellent condition). The guy at MTN also said that there were no dents or indication that something was between the screen and the keyboard and there was no indication that the laptop had fallen. He said that his technician would have to look at it to establish what the reason for the dent is. Ruan said that I can't leave the laptop with him but he will give me a call as soon as possible regarding the matter. Till date I have phoned them numerous times, but STILL haven't gotten an answer OR had a technician look at the laptop but in the meantime I am expected to pay!
