DAMAGE TO LAPTOP

SAMSUNG LAPTOP purchased in March 2013 at Incredible Connection at Middelburg (mp) Mall. The screen is faulty and is not functioning properly. Visited branch. I was informed that the warranty does not cover any damages / faults to screen of laptop. I was told that no laptop screen is covered. The screen is part of the product purchased and it is the most important part of the product. Without the screen the laptop is totally useless. I was told to pay a deposit of R500-00 so that the laptop can be tested. I was also told that the damage is estimated to be R2500-00. Why do I have to pay for repairs to a laptop that is still under warranty. The fault to the laptop did not originate due to my negligence. The laptop is always stored in it's protective case and put away. I am not happy with the explanation I received. I feel that this laptop should be repaired at the costs of the seller / supplier.as it is still under warranty.
