Syndicate operating in West Rand area upgrading vodacom contracts without the knowledge of the contract holder. Basically what they do is that they have a username and password to log onto the vodacom system and scan for vodacom costumers who are due for upgrades after that they print out the information of these costumers and apply for upgrades over the phone or online.
They collect the phones through RAM COURIERS, the drivers are all in their pockets and for example the drivers are paid R700 for each upgrade phone. The syndicate also give the driver the fake ID COPY needed for upon delivery.
They have runners who collect from RAM COURIER'S drivers everyday they collect betwwen 50 to 100 phones everyday. Its a very complex syndicate but in order for you to break the syndicate wide open you have to catch them in the act of collecting from RAM COURIER'S drivers and most of the time they only use one person to meet up with the drivers and collect.
