I asked mwebs technical support about my line being throttled and how long this will be happening and at what speed my line will be reduced to.

I currently have a 4MB line the stranded one and learned that when they do throttle you it is down to 256kbps. The only way that i do know that is after reading post after post and eventually getting to a page where the CEO gives all the details. Why cant the tech guys give me the details? Why did the sales not inform me that this is how the throttling is going to work? I believe that i did ask that question and like the technical gave me answers so that i can answer myself.

Now the tech is saying why dont u upgrade? His mail stated "Regarding the throttled ADSL account, there is no values as such as the system calculates your average usage over a rolling 30 day window. If the value is above a certain level compared to that of other users, then the account gets throttled. The throttled speed will depend on network load/conditions at the time. Exact figures are not available. "
So i am left to think that if there are 30 people using 2 gig p/m if i use 65 gig i get throttled for 2 months?
