BAD EXPERIENCE. I went to Tygervalley branch in Cape Town and was advised to upgrade to the Samsung S4 Mini after I explained that I do at times drop my phone and need one that will be able to 'survive' if it happens. I was assured that it will not be damaged easily. Only 2 weeks to the day after I received this phone, I wanted to show a friend at work a picture on the phone and was about 20 centimeters from the floor, to kneel next to her at her desk, when the phone fell to the carpet and the screen cracked in 3 places! Distraught, I went back to the shop to get a quote and was expected to pay R57 to get a quote, which I refused to pay! In the end I got a quote of R1800!! This price is so ridiculous! I shared my experience with my friends at work; most of them knew at least one person with a similar experience with the S4 Mini Samsung phone! In my opinion this phone should be discontinued or Vodacom should not promote this phone to customers especially not when prone to dropping phones. With 5 contracts with Vodacom and monthly bill of R1400, I will think carefully before I upgrade any of my other contracts with Vodacom.
