I am in the unfortunate position of having to using MTN 3G internet connection to run a small (tiny) business. Really the 3G is a joke. I phone up to complain and after going through the 'take out the SIM card and wait 15 minutes, then try again', which had absolutely no effect, I was told then we'll revert to the network guys. They'll call you. They didn't, but eventually the response time went from never to just very slow. The next time I complained I was told that it was Google that was slowing things up. So I tried Internet Explorer instead of Chrome. Maybe Google is slow but then so is ABSA, FNB, and almost everything else I tried. 3G is just a vehicle for charging us money for doing nothing.
