2 weeks SIM activation

My contract was disabled for late payment... when i eventually settled the arrears i went to a vodacom shop in Simmonds street JHB to do a sim swap and re-activation. I filled in the reactivation forms and paid for the new sim card on the 3rd october. The consultant told me my number will be reactivated within 72hrs. The sim card was never activated and i went back to the shop on the 8th and she told me that vodacom is experiencing a backlog in reactivation and it will be done by friday 11th. The sim card is still not activated today. I then phoned vodacom subscriber collections, only now they tell me my account cannot be activated until the other line is paid off as well. Should the consultant at vodashop told me all this i would have waisted money buying small data bundles hoping my sim will soon be active. All the time i spent going up and down and being to was unnecessary. I'm really disappointed by this level of customer service
