Looking at the number of problems raised against Vodacom on this site, I might be wasting my time.
But anyway, I activated the BIS on my Blackberry on 12 October 2013 at 0.39am, after receiving a message telling me that my recurring BIS subscription was cancelled due to insufficient air time credit in my prepaid account. I added air time credit and purchased another recurring BIS subscription.
During the day yesterday, I discovered that none of the BIS related services were working, and that, according to the service status on my phone, the BIS was not active. I assumed that there was a problem with my phone & even went as far as wiping everything and installing everything again.
This morning I contacted Vodacom via the online chat option. I was told that the recurring monthly BIS was not working. I was credited with the amount of the BIS & the airtime spent to trying to fix it. I had to then activate the once-off BIS. Which I did. After rebooting the phone there was still no BIS. I contacted Vodacom again, via the online chat. And was told that I need to wait up to 24 hours for the BIS to be activated.
Why does Vodacom offer a service which is not available???
