Irresponsible pricing of data

During December 2013, I decided to take out a data contract with Vodacom as my Cell C contract had come to an end. I decided to give Vodacom the business as I have been a loyal supporter of the network, for the pass 15 years.

I took out a R389 month 2 gig data contract which gives me an additional 2 gig between 12am and 4.59am. I decided to download some content one night between 12am and 4.59am. I guess I exceeded the 2 gig free data allocation. The next day I get an sms to say that I have a bill of R6900. I think i used about 6 gig more than the contract, but how can I be charged R6900 for using 6 gigs. When 4 gig is costing approx R390. This is irresponsible pricing on the part of Vodacom. They cannot be charging R1 a meg between 12am and 5am. Its absolutely ridiculous.

I have since raised the issue with the consulate at the Vodashop (Claremont) whom assisted me with the contract. I did asked her for a detail billing, and also asked her to cap the account (again). I did initially asked her to cap when I took out the contract, however this was not done.
