I took out a contract with MTN in 2010. In 2011 I realized my debit orders was not going off on my bank account (I had a savings account at the time so I didn't notice this at first). In all the time before this happened I never received any account statements from MTN. Also I was not contacted when my account started to get behind. I contacted MTN and it turned out that my account had been handed over to MTN's legal department. I arranged with them to pay off the arrears amount and we agreed that this amount would be deducted from my account with a debit order. Again neither MTN or their attorneys kept me up to date on the outstanding balance. MTN sent me a statement in excel format once, no official statement. I kept track of the payments and last year (2012) in June the last payment was deducted from my account. I phoned MTN's attorneys, VVM attorneys, and a lady told me that they would email me a letter to confirm that my account was settled in full. I never received a
