I am utterly convinced after my experiences and after reading the complaints here, that Neotel is willfully defrauding people out of their money.
I cancelled my contract in September 2012 via email. Received confirmation in October 2012. Since that date Neotel has kept on deducting money from my account via debit order.
After being unable to get this deductions stopped or for them to act on the cancellation, I started reversing their D/O and loading stop payments. They then started sending me arrears statement (s)...
After confirmation (several times) that the account has been cancelled, they even committed to refund me for monies deducted after cancellation.
But even then the madness did not stop. They kept on deducting (or trying to) money from my account and kept on sending arrears statements.
The final straw... today, I received notice from MacRoberts Attorneys that this account has been handed over to them for collection!!!
So I have it all - confirmation of cancellation, confirmation of credit and refund, arrears statement, and notice from attorneys (all in the same week)
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH NEOTEL. THEY ARE SCALY AND!!!
