I logged a complaint about the debit in my account is was almost R200 more than what i am supposed to pay. When i queried i was told i have subcribes on MIRA which charges me R7 per day. I queried with them but they sent me a letter to say that when i click on the link an sms was sent to Vodacom and Vodacom gave them the permission to go ahead subscribe me. I went back to Vodacom and requested that they should refund me since they gave these people permission to bill my account without confirming with me. I asked why dont they have a mechanism in place to send their clients an sms to confirm their details ie id number, surname etc just to make sure it is the client who is actually doing the activation. they told me it is not their responsibility to do that. So it means Vodacom doesnt protect us as clients. If they give permissions to these companies to bill us without proper consent then we are not protected thus i requested a refund from them.
Then i received a call from their very rude complaints officer (FAIEK) he refused to give me his surname who told me that they wont refund because it is not their responsibility so they cant treat their clients as a babies.
