Nashua Mobile: Failure to honor Price Promise

A few weeks ago I came across an attractive cellphone offer at a Jhb store. As I live in Durban, I approached Nashua Mobile (Dbn) to meet the offer, as a recent advert claims 'With our new Network Price Promise, we'll match any offer on any network...'
I was asked to bring in proof of the advert, which I did. I was then assured that the offer will be met. Two weeks later I was still waiting for my deal to be approved by the Nashua Mobile head office. The sales clerk at the store I was dealing with assured me that it will definitely be approved, as it is the company's promise to beat any deal. I specifically told her that I needed to know before the end of the month, as I intended purchasing another similar (but not as attractive) deal elsewhere, if the deal was not approved. I am absolutely appalled at the poor conduct of Nashua Mobile. They failed to match the offer, and only informed me in the late afternoon on the last day of the month. The staff at the store could also not provide a reasonable explanation for refusing to honour the company's promise. Misleading advertisement is unacceptable. I am still awaiting a response from NM with reasons for failing to honor their promise.
