I've been a client of nashua mobile for 8 years. I have multiple contracts with them so my bill isn't 'cheap'.
One of my contracts is due for an upgrade and upon seeing the network price match promotion, i visited the Nashua Mobile store at Vodaworld. I spoke to Nomsa and explained that i want to take advantage of the Network Price promotion on a Cell C deal (Samsung S4 with 100mins, 100sms and 1GB of data). She checked the system and because i am on Vodacom i was told that they can not match the deal because its a different network.
Basically, they will only match the deal if Vodacom has the exact same package. The closet vodacom package is the same price but with 200MB of data (compared to 1GB on Cell C).
I was told that i should port to Cell C if i want that deal as Nashua Mobile won't be willing/able to do it.
This is contradictory to the advert... the advert should now read "we'll match any competitors price provided that we have the same packages"...
After this incident, i'm seriously considering porting all my contracts to Cell C...
Sadly, Nashua Mobile will get away with this because of some clever legal speak.. but in my books, its false advertising.
