The Vodacom voice and data service in the Vaalwater region of the Waterberg is ridiculous to say the least. Availability is EXTREMELY poor, and whenever there is inclement weather it is almost guaranteed that there will be no Vodacom signal, whereas MTN and Cell-C services are usually operative, irrespective of the weather.
This in itself is totally and utterly unacceptable, since the affected customers in the area PAY for the service they are not receiving.
However, of greater concern is the fact that, despite numerous complaints by a number of affected parties, Vodacom DOES NOT EVEN RESPOND or acknowledge these complaints, let alone do anything about them.
Vodacom's reticence to react constitutes poor corporate governance, in contravention of various regulations regarding listed companies, and I want to see URGENT action from Vodacom. I expect to see a written plan to improve the service in Vaalwater, or will demand a public meeting with the CEO if this matter is not addressed as a priority.
