I have 3 cellphone and 3 x 3G (data) = total 6 contracts with Vodacom. The Vodacom reception in the area where I stay is so bad that I quite often have NO signal and cannot even make a call. Not to mention that when we do have a bit of signal the 3G HSDPA (which we pay for is NON existent. My house is in Valhalla, in Pretoria!!
I have logged SEVERAL complaints to Vodacom only to be told by some technician that we need to change the "settings" on our phones! What a JOKE!! Off-course this did not help as VODACOM needs to make a plan to boost the signal in our area. Our neighbors using Vodacom has the same problems.
I work oversees and my wife and children are often alone at my house. In case of emergency the Vodacom service is so bad that we cannot rely on it!!
Best of all is that MTN in my area has fantastic signal strength and needless to say great 3G as well. Looks like I will have to it up and pay to get out of my contracts with Vodacom and then switch to MTN.
Vodacom's service and attitude towards any assistance to resolve this issue is PATHETIC and really disappointing - THANKS FOR NOT CARING!
