Went into the Cresta store yesterday to do a premature upgrade as I do every time. Due to my average spend being very high, I am allowed to upgrade prematurely. VODACOM ALLOWS THIS! The lady was very helpful but when she finished the quote, I had to pay in over R1, 100 in order to do the upgrade as I was migrating to a package that suited me better as a client. I asked her to phone and get this waivered as I could clearly see on the screen 'HIGH VALUE CUSTOMER' and I will not pay R1, 100 for a premature upgrade (or migration) when my spend with Vodacom is huge and I have been a loyal customer for MANY years. When she made the call, I asked her to say that I will be cancelling both my contracts when they are up for renewal. The person on the other side refused to help and stated that it is OK if the client cancels, he will not waive the charge. This is REDICULOUS as a loyal, so called HIGH VALUE customer, this is APPALLING! I will most definitely move both my contracts to another supplier that appreciates my business. Vodacom, this is completely off!
