I moved from Vodacom to Cell C in May 2013 From the day I got my iPhone5 I have had trouble connecting to the internet(unreliable) and receiving and making phone calls - there seems to very poor network coverage.
This is not specific to my home or office and I have experienced trouble in numerous places, it would be easier for me to list the places it is not a problem!
I have contacted Cell C's help line and visited their branches on countless occasions to allow them to identify the problem and resolve it. They have been very unhelpful and often have lost the records of my calls and queries. I have never been followed up with to check if the issue has been resolved and I have not been allowed to speak to a more senior person who can accept responsibility
The issue has been fobbed off on the iPhone(other network sims work fine in the handset) and its settings - I have contacted Apple and they have said all settings are correct, on the sim card malfunctioning(no one has offered to replace it), and finally on the fact that Cell C is upgrading their network towers in my area (which one? ).
I feel I have grounds to cancel my contract due to lack of service provided - no charges.
