What "service"

I am on holiday in a bad Vodacom reception area. I thought I will solve the problem by getting a mtn data/voice card.(Prepaid) I have run out of airtime and are trying to register for online shopping.
I got as far as - "we will send you an e-mail for activation". Nothing!!! Ok, so maybe I have the e-mail wrong but there is NO WAY I can go back to check it. So I will try the "help line". What a disaster. Work your fingers to the bone for 10 minutes to be told - all our operators are busy (with what I wonder) PLEASE CALL BACK. This call was made for my expense. (My mtn card's time has run out remember}
Just for the record. I am far from a town or mtn shop.
Where is the good old days when you could still speak to a person!
