"Liquid damage caused by breathing into the phone"

My Blackberry 9360 is 18months old, thus still under the 2yr warranty. It lost signal only worked intermittently. I was told by Vodacare Fourways its the Sim, I bought a new sim, didn't work, told it's software, didn't work, they sent it to the "advanced repair center" where a week later I'm told that it will cost R1881 to repair it as its not covered by warranty due to liquid damage. I have truly never spilt anything on this phone, have been ultra careful, I am told that it's caused by sweat from hands even TALKING into the phone? IF a R4500 phone cannot withstand normal usage then they should NOT be sold or customers should be warned. I then get a mail to say its beyond repair? Confusing! I am now being told they are willing to offer me a discount to buy a refurb unit at R1500 or pay for a liquid cleanup R475 which may or may not work. I then suggest a compromise, my upgrade is due Jan 2014 it is now almost end of Sept 2013, let me upgrade NOW, we all win, they get my continued business, I've been a loyal clients with 2 contracts and a data contract for ten years and I get a new working BB. We are all happy. I get told NO, I don't qualify, come on Vodacom??!
