Vodacom warranty woes

I bought a Sony Experia on contract and within a few months the phone's light started going dimmer until the screen display could not be seen anymore after a month or so. i took it in for repairs and now the repair centre says the phone has liquid damage which I DISPUTE. on 12 December, after i send an email to their repairs Escalations unit, i was told and i quote "Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Please be advise that your handset was assessed at our repair centre in Pretoria, thus we have no proof of liquid damages on the handset. I have request the store manager to forward them to you as soon as possible".

i have been waiting to hear from them and today Lindiwe send me a message in response to a complaint send by ANOTHER CLIENT, NOT ME regarding his iphone saying that they cannot fix the phone under the warranty because the phone has liquid damage but they cannot unfortunately prove that is the cause of the malfunction.
i was told told they could not find any proof of liquid damage and now they are saying something different. i feel that they do not want to fulfill their warranty obligations and 99% of all phones are liquid damaged.
