Vodacom
Samsung vs Vodacom one could and one couldn't

I took a Samsung phone on a two year contract, with it came a 24 month warranty.
The contract started on 19-01-2012, 10 months later I started experiencing intermittent fault.
I booked it in on the 28-11-2012 at Vodacom Repairs Durban.
I was notified the next day to pick up my phone as it was ready for collection, The phone wasn't repaired as it was classified as liquid damaged, so the technician didn't even bother opening it.
Reasoning with the staff that the phone was never near any water was an impossible task and the feeling that came across is that now I must just leave as I breached the contract, the friendliness of the staff turned cold as I tried to reason with them.
In any event I left feeling a bit disappointed with the whole affair. The phone wasn't reliable enough to use daily so I ended up using my R100 phone and now again using the Samsung when it behaved.
On the 12/07/2013 decided to take the phone to Samsung, they repaired immediately, they reported no liquid damage and found that the connector was faulty. They were kind enough to give me a report on their findings.
I had to pay for the repair as they give only a year warranty.
WHY DID I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS???
