On Monday I phoned to upgrade the one contract I have with Cell C. The deal was NOT all that great but it's the phone my son wanted so I went ahead. I was promised delivery within 10 days - not great but ok. They next day my son phoned to say they were delivering!!! I didn't leave any of the required paperwork so spoke to the delivery person and he promised to deliver the next day.
Today - I finally phoned to find out where it was and was told it was returned to Cell C because 'they could not find me'. Nice. I phoned their help desk line (I hesitate to call it customer service), and after being transferred to 6 different people over a 15 minute period - was finally told ya they had returned it - and they will arrange to have it resent next week. Now I know why they quote 10 days for delivery!!!
I can wait for a phone - but it's the total ineptitude of their staff that bothers me. Nobody contacted me at all - I would have waited in vain. The people on the phone were all extremely polite - and completely unable to give me a proper answer.
I am tempted to cancel this contract right now. If I had the time to go into a store and get a new contract I would!
