My cellular package was up for renewal and I went into the greenstone branch for an upgrade and to migrate my Talk130 package to a Smart Medium.
This was done on the 25th July 2013. I received my September statement and noticed I was being charged R236 for GPRS usage.
I've contacted them several times to investigate how or why I was billed this amount for data usage.
I was told that although I went into the store on the 25th of July, the migration was only processed on the 23rd of August. Almost an entire month to migrate my talk package which includes a data bundle.
This was never communicated in store, neither is it stated anywhere in the contract. I find this extremely unethical. I wouldn't advise anyone to enter a cellular contract with autopage cellular and I will make sure to end mine when it comes to the end of its term.
It is evident that this is done in order to extort more money from honest paying customers.
