I signed a contract with Altech Autopage Cellular on 10 September 2013 for R209 per month, with a stated R400 usage limit. I have now received an invoice for just under R9200 for 1 months usage of plus/minus 9800mb of internet data.
I tried to load a data bundle via the electronic portal that Vodacom provides only to be told that I am a contract customer and cannot load prepaid data bundles to a contract account, thus essentially locking me into their, extortionary, out of bundle rate or R1 per Megabyte, even although Vodacom themselves offer a data bundle of 20 Gigabytes for R1000.
I did inquire with my sales representative from Altech Autopage Cellular, a certain Mr. Tertius Fitzgerald, what exactly the R400 usage limit actually meant and was given a response saying that I would receive an SMS stating that I had reached my R400 usage limit. Unfortunately no SMS to this effect was ever received by myself and I have all the necessary proof to validate my claim.
I have reported both Altech Autopage Cellular as well as Vodacom to ICASA for investigation regarding this matter.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone competent from Autopage could please contact me to resolve this.
