What must i do to activaye my new phone

Long story short, they call me and offer me a nice contract, i accept, the sales person says my phone will be delivered in 7 to 14 working days, nope, i get the phone last monday from the couriers, i have called virgin mobile 3 times to activate the sim, each time being promised it will be done within 24 hrs, nope, today i spoke to a Kabelo at the call centre, after holding for at least 20mins each time, from a competitors cell no, the contracts not looking so good anymore, and being promised he has spoken to his team leader and escalated the call before 1.00pm today, that their IT staff only go home at 5.00pm and it will be active today, well its 7.58 pm and guess what, its not active
having a bit of insider knowledge, it takes a few keystrokes to activate a sim, is anyone at virgin mobile computer literate? or is there only a sub contractor that comes in now and again to activate their sims.
if anyone at virgin can activate my card i will thank them the south african governments way and profusely deny any link to inkandla or the arms deal's way of working. If anyone from SARS or some secret agency wants to know if this cry for help worked, my cell no is meant to be 0741732350
