Sim Card for new contract not activated as promise

I took out a new Virgin Mobile contract on Thursday at Cedar Park in JHB and received the mobile from Clearwater Branch where the RICA was sorted out. I was promised that the sim card will be activated by 12h00 on Friday. On Saturday it was still not working. The customer care person Losego REF SE2013/06/15 told me that it will not be activated until next week sometime. I spoke to various different persons and most of them were not helpful at all and all of them had a different story. These agents are Thanbeka, Tubela, and Pamela. Also I am now back in PE where I live and here is no Virgin agent, so replacing a sim card is not an over the counter exercise. I have already placed an ad in the newspaper from Monday onwards with this number as a reference (I can prove this) and now the cell does not work. Virgin will pay the cost of this ad, or this contract is now cancelled as Virgin did not deliver on their promise.
We have 5 different mobile contracts of which two are with Virgin, the others are with Vodacom and Cell C and this is the worse service ever that I experienced from a mobile company. I would not recommend anyone taking out a contract with them
