MTN has been sms'ing me for the past 2 weeks about an upgrade on my contract. I finally made a point of calling them today to find out if they have the phone I want (Nokia 925). I spoke to the manager and asked and her response was that they were in stock and available. This was also my 3rd call to MTN in the past month about this phone. Upon my arrival I had to stand at the counter for 5min and had to ask to be helped, this was unacceptable but I chose to ignore that, after giving the lady my cell number and a wait of at least 10min she said she was unable to help me today as their system is offline. This was nothing new to me as this is the 5th time I've been in that same shop that the system has been offline. I then insisted she make a plan as its only an upgrade. She then called the call centre and another 15min of her being on the phone she came to the conclusion that I was eligible for an upgrade. Then she needed to speak to her manager about the phone, after spending another 15min in her office she came out just to tell me the phone hasn't been put on their system so I would have to wait 2-24hrs before they could give me the phone.
