My phone was beginning of November 2012, I asked my office to handle the claim as my phone is insured with MTN. When I came back from my annual leave in Jan I followed up on the status of my claim just to be informed they are waiting for certain detail incl the phone serial number.
Although the phone detail was all saved on Blackberry Desktop this feature saves everything but the serial number, we phoned MTN to try and retrieve the number although they have it they refused to give it, we eventually found a lady that gave us the number and we submitted the claim, only to have it rejected as the number was once again not right. I have only used one phone since my upgrade/replacement, but backup to a second old BB as I am on standby 24-7.
Mr Khumalo, how long can you go without access to your mobile? Go and have a look at my account I recently added a second sim to my number to be used as plan B. You are still taking my premiums and I have tried numerous times to list my new iPhone, just waited 43min on 808 no success. My upgrade is due, surprise, surprise after 12 years it is time to move on, and that will be me and all the other people on my account, Hasta la Vista.
