Applying for a landline

I applied for a Telkom landline on 9 July 2013 and was told I will have my line installed within 2 weeks. After numerous calls to follow up on the status of my order, they do promise to send you a text message within 48 hours of course but as I still have not had any message/s I decided to call again today, 30 August. From "you will have a line in 2 weeks, to we have escalated your order" I have to hear today that I need to wait for their next financial year where "they will make a decision as to when they will have the infrastructure in place" - Really? Financial year - 2014, 2015 or maybe 2020 - who knows. To anyone wanting to apply for a Telkom landline (sadly we don't have any other choice, if you need a landline it has to be Telkom), if they tell you 2 weeks, bank on 2 years.
